The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) will commission the newly-constructed hockey stadium on Monday July 6 in Accra in the evening .

 

LOC sought the services of volunteers for the forthcoming AfHF hockey Cup for Nations .

Ahead of the AfHF Africa Hockey Championship scheduled for July 10 to 18, the acting Minister of Youth and Sports Hon. Rashid Pelpuo has visited the senior national hockey teams at their hotel  Mirage Royal hotel in Accra.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the AfHf African Hockey Cup for Nations has received the Cedi equivalent of $10,000 from the Volta River Authority VRA ahead of the Ghana 2009 Hockey Africa Cp for Nations tournament.

The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has donated Ghana 25,000 ¢ to the Local Organizing Committee of the African Hockey Cup of Nations for a successful hosting of the tournament.

The Participant Countries M/W teams in Africa Cup of Nations are:

   Egypt -Kenya - Nigeria - South Africa - Ghana

The AfHF Hockey Africa Cup for Nations, Ghana 2009 Local Organizing Committee(LOC) will host a one-day Technical seminar for sports journalists at the Accra Stadium Media Centre on Monday, June 29.

The South African Hockey Association today announced the Senior Men’s National Hockey Team who will be participating in a 4 Nations Tournament in Elektosal, Moscow Region, Russia.

Coach Jenny King and co-captain of the South African women’s hockey team Mariette Rix had every right to feel proud of their team after they came through a baptism of fire against world hockey’s second-best country, Argentina, at Queensmead Hockey Stadium in Durban Tuesday.
